The Position: As the Senior HR Business Partner, you are a senior member of the People Team at KAYAK, providing partnership and guidance to all levels of leadership. You will collaborate on key global initiatives – taking ownership and accountability for your assigned business units, partnering with others in the team effectively to ensure seamless service delivery and strategic HR influence to this group.

The Responsibilities:

Responsible for building trust-based relationships with the Executive leaders, and people managers.

Provide consultative advice and strategic business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization.

Consults with leaders to create comprehensive people plans to influence lasting change over large functions.

Strategically partner with the business to support growth via organizational design and planning, building accountability and delivering targeted solutions, including strategic planning, visioning, change management and team building.

Partner with People & Culture colleagues globally to develop programs and implement strategies that meet and exceed company objectives and influence lasting change

Partner closely with regional HR partners on global strategy and execution.

In partnership with the P&C Programs team, own cyclical HR processes including engagement survey, performance management and merit cycle processes for departments.

Work closely with Compensation team to provide guidance, recommendations and support the needs of client organizations

Partner with L&D, to develop people oriented programs to positively impact management development.

Work closely with managers, directly and indirectly through more junior team members, to develop their capability to build and lead teams effectively.

Identify and surface trends in both qualitative and quantitative data to help improve organizational health, and understand when data will support us in making smart, informed decisions. Interpret complex analyses and tie back to business priorities

Solve challenges and get to the root cause of any issue, no matter how complex. Design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines.

Participate and lead projects as an integral member of the extended P&C community.

Coach and mentor individuals on communication and teamwork, including providing guidance to other junior members of our own team.

Establish a positive environment for the team, address team dynamic challenges and individual performance issues, and drive positive change within your immediate team, as well as the wider P&C team.

Work with globally distributed teams.

This role may have direct reports.

You have:

At least 6-8 years of experience as a Human resources professional with progressive responsibilities.

Experience supporting a global organization across several locations preferred.

Ability to build solid relationships with the managers, People & Culture team, cross-functional internal partners and external providers/vendors.

Ability to work independently and be proactive in a high performance environment.

Possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

A client service bias, meeting and anticipating client needs.

Strong business acumen – understand the daily challenges the business faces.

You bring exceptional communication skills and serve as an ambassador for the People & Culture team.

Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Strong analytical and project management skills, proven ability to design clear processes, and a very detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem solving

A team player who acts with a sense of urgency and adapts to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Passion for results; able to deliver full-cycle projects (start to finish) and results in a timely manner.

Ability to solve moderate to complex problems; resourceful and takes initiative to seek internal and external resources when problem-solving.

BA/BS and relevant experience that demonstrates ability to influence attainment of business outcomes through people.

You might also have:

Experience working within the technology sector.

Experience working with engineering and product departments.

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite and HR systems.
